Maren's weekly time on approvals and decisions

Before. "Fieldnote was a side thing that started paying rent. Maybe three orders a week from Instagram and word of mouth, no more. Every couple of months I'd sit down and try to 'do marketing' and close the laptop an hour later. Meta Ads Manager feels like it was designed to make you give up."

"I applied on a Sunday. Monday someone emailed me back. That alone felt different."

Week one, the intake call. "The whole thing happened in one 60-minute call. They pasted my URL, the engine ran a full marketing audit of Fieldnote in a couple of minutes, tone, style, positioning, the angles it thought I was missing, and I edited maybe ten words. They wired up everything in my accounts while I watched. The first campaign was in queue before we hung up. It went live the next day."

Week two. "I had a full week of real numbers on the Monday of week two. On the 60-minute call they walked me through what was pulling. We launched a second campaign that week, one of the angles I would never have written myself."

"The engine found an audience I wouldn't have thought of. Dads buying bridal-shower cards. It was correct."

Week four, the decision. "The week-four call wasn't really a hand-over. It was a conversation. They showed me the numbers and said: do you want to stay the size you are, or do you want to grow this thing? I said grow. We mapped out the next quarter on that call."

Now. "I don't think about marketing anymore. It thinks about me. That sounds like a bad line but it's what it feels like. I'm running a paper-goods business, not a funnel, and there's a thing in the background bringing me customers. It's weird. It's good weird."
